Integrated system designed to manage the different models in the healthcare companies that exist world-wide. It allows users to integrate several companies, to model a group of companies, to restrict actions, and to visualize data.
Patient-oriented
We regard patients as the focus point of the operations of the healthcare system. Each act recorded in the system will have the patient identified. K2BHealth allows patients to access their medical records, defining the level of access depending on the company’s security policy. This fosters a more active participation for patients as regards their own healthcare, since the system allows, for example, the recording of any active medication prescribed to the patient, the automatic scheduling of appointments, the visualization of information contextual to the pathology or to any specific user conditions, and the visualization of paraclinical exam results, among others.
Uniqueness of an individual
To guarantee the validity of the online record, it is essential to have sound practices in place that ensure the uniqueness of an individual. K2BHealth integrated technology (EMPI) to search for individuals which ensure a high level of uniqueness. The patronymic data for an individual is registered only once in the system, regardless of the role they have in the system.
Data Quality Management
Whenever users create a clinical record, they enter different sets of data. However, for these pieces of data to be used in decision-making processes, and any posterior actions, they must have enough quality to be considered valuable information. From a clinical record, the system can extract epidemiological statistics, population monitoring data, or even clinical decisions for a patient. If the information recorded is not high-quality, there will be an impact to the statistics and reports used by the different work groups. K2BHealth offers mechanisms which help keep track and control of the quality of the data entered in the system.
High Degree of Parameterization
For a solution to be able to adapt to any scenario and institutional situation, it must have a high degree of modeling and/or parameterization. This way, business rules and processes owned by the institution where the system will be implemented can be modeled without needing any development changes. Any rule and process variations have their own reasons and sources, so it is necessary for the institution to be able to internally configure and manage these changes independently. This allows for an optimal “time-to-market” to accompany the growth and evolution of the institution.
Components-oriented
K2BHealth has a components architecture which allows for a solution that can be integrated modularly. It is a solution based on modules that are independent of one another, but that, at the same time, can integrate to share all of the required information. For this reason, it is possible to implement only some modules and not the complete solution. Likewise, the modules that are implanted are prepared to be integrated with any other modules from the K2BHealth suite or any other market products.
Interoperable
The concept of patient care continuity is essential in the healthcare system. To ensure that this occurs, the healthcare personnel must be able to access all of the clinical information when they require it. Because not all of the information comes from the same system, the communication between the systems must be guaranteed by means of interoperability (imaging, emergency, laboratory, etc.).
